Featuring two football fields of food, drinks, music, art, shopping and more, the annual TACO FEST is set to return this Oct 19 and 20 for two full days of festivities in the Arizona sun. Known as one of the biggest taco festivals in the nation, the 2024 TACO FEST has a new, more spacious home at Salt River Fields, and will host a can’t-miss lineup of taco makers. Confirmed vendors include Taqueria #1, Joyride Taco House, El Pastorcito Taqueria, Lost Burro, Ghost Street Asian Taqueria, Totos Tacos, Chula Seafood, and El Taco De Ojo, with many more to be announced soon.
But tacos are only half the fun. TACO FEST will have multiple bars serving up Tequila Corrido margaritas and ice cold Mexican cervezas, while The Agave Show will offer a spirit’s tasting experience within the festival where over 25 brands will sample sips, cocktails and flights (21+, $45 add-on ticket). Tequila Corrido, the Arizona spirits success story that is now distributed in 11 states, now has a signature event in their home state, and all TACO FEST attendees will have the opportunity to sip and sample three of their expressions (blanco, reposado and añejo) at multiple bars.
Also expect a full lineup of the best Latin bands, curated by Elyssa Bustamante, aka the “The Funky Latina,” as well as live sets from top DJs including Talking Stock Resort’s DJ Pulse. Rounding out the spectacular offerings, TACO FEST 2024 will also feature vibrant art activations led by XICO, a Latinx and Ingenious art gallery and community space, that will be posted up inside The Agave Show. Plus enjoy the Local Vendor Market, Kids Carnival area, and even a pair of vintage VW busses that have been transformed into mobile DJ booths.
Although this event is designed for community fun, the taco competition will be serious business, says TACO FEST co-founder, David Tyda, who also co-owns the award-winning tequila/mezcal bar, BARCOA Agaveria in Downtown Phoenix. “We’re bringing in a trio of judges from across the country who are all true taco experts, but with no conflicts or connection to any of the competitors. All will be given cash and a list of tacos stands to visit, and they will order tacos like anyone else, and score then as Gold, Silver or Bronze.”

Tickets to the 2024
TACO FEST are now on-sale, including VIP tickets for $100, which includes access to a private bar and dedicated, shaded seating area, upgraded margaritas and wine options, no lines and also premium bathrooms. General Admission tickets are only $15, while tickets to The Agave Show are $45.
That said, the star of the show is tacos. Birria, al pastor, carnitas, pollo asado, carne asada, pescado, veggie, barbacoa, brisket, and cabeza, are just a few of the types of tacos that will be available at the
TACO FEST. All vendors will have a single taco option so you can try as many as possible. Tacos will cost extra once inside the event.
