FUNDING & MISSION

Valley Toyota Dealers generous contribution will boost the year-round ALECA mission of TEES: Train, Educate, Equip and Support.  ALECA is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that delivers critical public safety services throughout the Southwest and is self-sustaining, receiving no government funding.  The organization is solely supported through generous sponsors like Valley Toyota Dealers, ALECA membership dues and private donors despite the dangerous nature of the actions its members deliver every day on the street, at major events and the last-ditch option at crime scenes. ALECA funds also underwrite costs of new K9s and their training for public safety agencies. *More than 95 percent of all ALECA funding goes directly to mission, not to administration.

ONGOING TRAINING & SIGNATURE EVENT

ALECA for 22 years has presented among the world’s largest police K9 competitions: Desert Dog Police K9 Trials & Public Safety Expo, this year Nov. 8 and 9, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, with hundreds of police agencies competing from throughout the country.  The high action competition showcases the close bond and daring feats of police K9s and human handlers alike. Throughout the year, ALECA hosts rigorous training programs for its member such as the High Risk Deployment session in metro Phoenix and the Handler Survival Seminar and public demonstration in Prescott Valley.

About Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association (ALECA).  ALECA is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, and one of the largest nonprofit public safety canine organization in the country. More than 95% of support to ALECA goes directly to their mission, led by public safety, and business professionals and a dedicated team of expert volunteers. The ALECA mission: Train, Educate, Equip and Support (TEES), provides critical guidance, state of the art knowledge, research, development and live action training drills year-round to support K9 law enforcement teams and agencies throughout Arizona and the Southwest. Special thanks to Circle K for its stalwart support and more recently, the generous support of Valley Toyota Dealers. ALECA operates also thanks to member dues, other sponsors and generous donations.
