Calling all burger lovers! It’s time to register for the Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Contest. All 17 Arizona locations will have a qualifying round on Saturday, June 15; one winner from each location will be named to continue and compete in the finale at Scottsdale 4th of July at WestWorld on the mainstage. Only 10 contestant slots are available at each location. Any and all non-professional eaters, burger enthusiasts and fans of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest are encouraged to register now to put their fast-eating skills to the test.
Each contestant will be given water as the only beverage, au jus for dunking, 20 cheeseburger sliders and 10 minutes during the qualifying round on June 15.
The championship round consists of 30 cheeseburger sliders for each finalist, and 10 minutes to eat as many sliders as possible. At both the preliminary round and July 4 finale, the winner will be whoever finishes all sliders in the fastest time or consumes the most sliders within the allotted 10 minutes. Each slider combines a toasted bun, American cheese, ground chuck patty and caramelized onions, no substitutions are allowed.
Scottsdale 4th of July returns for its 11th year at WestWorld of Scottsdale, produced by R Entertainment and M Culinary Concepts. Witness the largest fireworks show in Scottsdale history as the fireworks dance across the McDowell mountains and light up the night sky, stay Red, White & COOL in the fully air-conditioned Tony Nelssen Equestrian Center and enjoy the new Winter Wonderland experience with a toboggan run, snowball fights and more for Christmas in July. And of course, the grand finale of the Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Contest, a spectacle on the mainstage. Emerging as a fan favorite at Scottsdale 4th as thousands gathered in 2023 to see the eating competition in action.
