When pulling into the hotel it definitely had a resort feel to it. There is valet parking but after unloading the car we just parked in the parking lot close by. There is plenty of parking and it worked out great for us.
The hotel is located right next to Gainey Ranch Gold Club which is open to members of the Club and hotel guests.
1. Family-friendly accommodations
We had a 2 queen courtyard view room. with ample space for my whole family. The toilet and shower are separate from the sink and vanity. This area was nice and spacious and also included a closet with a nice large tv. One of our favorite parts of the room was the balcony, which had a small table and two lounge chairs. It was so nice to sit outside and relax, listen to the live band play, and watch the Native American dancers that perform on Friday nights.

2. Kid-oriented amenities and activities
One of the standout features of this resort is its commitment to ensuring we all had a memorable stay. The Hyatt Scottsdale Resort and Spa offered a dedicated kids' club or activity center, where my little ones engage in supervised activities and made new friends. The resort also features pools specifically designed for kids, complete with a water slides and splash zones, providing endless hours of fun in the sun for all ages.
The pool area is so fun! First of all, there are 10 swimming pools, 20 fountains, 45 waterfalls, and a 30', 3-story high-speed waterslide to enjoy. There is also a sandy beach which the kids loved. Out in the middle of the pool is a platform and that was really fun for the kids to jump off of. We pretty much spent our whole vacation out here by the pool.

3. The great eats
As parents, we understand the importance of having dining options that cater to various tastes and preferences. The resort offered a diverse range of dining options, including family-friendly restaurants with kid's menus and relaxed atmospheres. Whether you're in the mood for casual poolside fare or sit-down dinner, you'' find plenty of options to please everyone's palate. The Hyatt Scottsdale Resort and Spa offers a variety of on-site restaurants and bars, serving fresh Southwestern cuisine, poolside cafe' and cocktails, traditional italian food and steaks, and live music.
SWB, A southwest bistro: We enjoyed the majestic McDowell Mountains, SWB crafts creative Southwest cuisine in wood-fired ovens.
Alto ristorante e bar: Alto ristorante e bar at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale has been honored by Wine Spectator for its excellent and unique wine program. As one of the top Italian restaurants in Scottsdale, AZ, Hyatt Scottsdale Resort and Spa serves fresh and flavorful dishes with an emphasis on “the season.” In the Formaggio & Salumi Cellar, Alto’s unique collection of Italy’s best artisanal cheeses and meats are complemented by the extensive selection of wines. You can enjoy dinner indoors or alfresco on the terrace around our fire pits, where you’ll experience a convivial and romantic atmosphere.
Center Stage bar: Each month, the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale highlight the best music you likely haven't heard with a monthly schedule of local performers. We enjoyed nightly live musical expressions in an array of styles, from soulful vocals and urban acoustic to edgy folk.
Noh: Serving a theatre of Japanese cuisine…sushi, sashimi and traditional Japanese dishes with a contemporary twist.
H2Oasis: Enjoy your favorite foods and libations served poolside. H2Oasis offers a wide variety of lunchtime favorites, along with novel, “can’t resist” retail.
4. Spa Avania
While the kids are having a blast, parents or just mommy can take advantage of the resort's luxurious spa and wellness facilities. At Spa Avania I was offered a personalized treatment offering filled with mineral water therapy and a specialized spa dining and beverage menu. Completed my spa treatment with their Himalayan Salt Room and Spa Wave Bed to help balance the mind and body, leaving me refreshed and energized.
