WHAT: Bring the whole family and join us for Día del Niño presented by SRP, as we celebrate children, animals and culture! Spend the day at the Phoenix Zoo and enjoy an action-packed day filled with music, folkloric dancers and activities! Entertainment will be happening throughout the day, including dance groups and live music.
WHEN: Sunday, April 30, 2023 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
ACTIVITIES:
• Enjoy free rides on the Endangered Species Carousel courtesy of Valley Toyota Dealers!
• Mariachi bands, folkloric dancers and more entertainment!
• Pinatas!
• Up close animal encounters
• Safari Cruiser rides narrated in Spanish (check times)
• FREE face painting courtesy of Groupon
• Loteria
• Splash pads to cool off!
• Tempe Camera & Canon Camera sign-out & nature walk with professional photographer varies times between 9:30 – noon
• Dino Dig sponsored by Beech-Nut – enjoy the interactive fossil dig and unearth dino-mite beech-Nut goodies
• Play the slap shot game with the Arizona Coyotes
• Creature Features – learn about some of the Zoo’s residents including prairie dogs, flamingos, alligators, sloth and more!
• Desert Raptors - Check out these Jurassic Park inspired vehicles!
• Dr. T-rex Science Show!
• Music for the Planet Booth - Make an instrument with recyclable materials!
• Race to Recycle Activity - How fast can you clean up the earth?
• Plant Station - Plant seeds and decorate the biodegradable containers.
