THE SHOWS HEADING TO DESERT STAGES THEATRE IN 2022-2023
Scottsdale’s Desert Stages Theatre kicks off the year with a total of 19 different shows
Scottsdale’s Desert Stages Theatre (DST) announces its lineup of shows that will be produced during the 2022-2023 season. The local non-profit theatre will put on a total of nineteen different performances starting this month and ending in August of 2023. The lineup includes Broadway classics, premiers, iconic musicals, comedies, and dramas.
“We are looking forward to bringing the community another high-quality, and captivating season of live entertainment. A variety of productions will be offered to adults, youths, music lovers, and first-time theatergoers this season. We are excited to showcase the talent and dedication of this year's performers," said Executive Director, Ellen Versen.
DST will kick off the lineup of shows with the timeless musical comedy, “Guys and Dolls” directed by Gary Crumm, telling the overlapping stories of high-roller Sky Masterson, who falls in love with missionary worker Sarah Brown, and lovable mischievous Nathan Detroit, engaged for 14 years to Miss Adelaide, a headlining dancer at the local Hot Box Club. Desert Stages Theatre’s “Guys and Dolls” combines its classic 1920s New York setting, memorable Broadway characters, and hummable tunes with musical direction by Cathy Hauan. “Guys and Dolls” will run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. from August 26 – September 4, 2022.
