Are you cancelling your Birthday Party because of COVID-19? Many people are turning to social media to find out ways to still celebrate their loved ones birthday. Here are some ideas for you if you are in this situation.

Birthday Door Fairy Surprise

Invite the Birthday Door Fairy and decorate your kids bedroom door the night before their birthday with balloons and streamers. When your child opens the door, all the balloons will fall towards them as a surprise and then they can try to break out of their bedrooms 😊

Send a Card

The easiest way to show your love is with a card. If you don't live close enough to your birthday friend to drop one in their mailbox (no contact required!), send an e-card using a service.

Deck their Yard with Balloons and Signs

Just because you're social distancing doesn't mean you can't go to someone's house. Get in your car and head to your friends place and deck their yard with balloons and signs. Tell them to look outside and sing "Happy Birthday" when they come to the door.

Host a virtual birthday party on Zoom

Set up a meeting on Zoom and invite all your friends for a virtual birthday party. The video quality on Zoom is great and you can see each participant's face in a simple grid view. Make it more special and tell the guest of honor to sign on at little later than everyone else and sing "Happy Birthday" when they log on.

Send a Dessert

A great way to support your local businesses in these hard times is by ordering delivery. Choose a local bakery or a restaurant with stellar desserts and send something sweet like a cake, cupcakes or cookies.

Birthday Parade

Surprise the child with a Birthday parade, the icing on the cake for the one celebrating a special day. Decorate your vehicle with balloons and signs and head to celebrate the birthday child and sing “Happy Birthday!” People shouting and beeping horns as you watch the grinning from ear to ear of the child.

Reach out to your local resources to help you celebrate those birthday’s!

Check back frequently as we will add more as they are available. Share with friends who might be needing this important service at this time.
