August 24th – “March of the Planets” Stargazing Event – 7-10 pm
· Focus Astronomy will be here with multiple telescopes from Sky-Watcher USA

o Tickets are $5, on sale now and drawing will be held August 24th, during the March of the Planets event.

o Mars, the Red Planet, will be closer to the earth than at anytime since 2003 and won’t be this close again until 2035! Saturn & Moon will be visible from back viewing area; possibly Jupiter.
September 22nd – “Meet the Miners” - 11 am to 5 pm
· Husband & Wife mining team, Mike & Tai Blank will be in the store to answer questions about the life of a miner at the Four Peaks Mine.
· Mine Owner, Kurt Cavano will be here to answer questions about the mine’s history and the geology of the Mazatzal Mountains and Four Peaks.
· Instagram “Miner” photo-op cut-out unveiled.
· GWP: a pair of 4mm Four Peaks Amethyst & Sterling Stud earrings with all purchases over $25.
· A drawing for a private helicopter tour to the mine with Kurt Cavano, leaving from Falcon Field in Mesa and flying past the Superstitions, then up to the mine.
October 13th - Gem Cutting with Father & Son, Darryl & Nick Alexander – 11 am to 5 pm
· In store demonstrations with Four Peaks Amethyst crystals being cut.
· Showcase of gems cut by the Alexanders.
November 3rd – Amber Trunk Show and Lectures – 10 am to 5 pm
· Guest Speaker, Sindi Schloss will speak at 11 am and 3 pm (1/2 hour lectures)
· Amber jewelry and loose specimens available for purchase
· Possibly some “Blue” Sumatran Amber & other pieces with insects in them.
December 1st – Trunk Show with Mineral Carvings from Barlow’s Gems – 10 am to 5 pm
· Local lapidary company, Barlow’s Gems will bring their collection of animal carvings from a large selection of minerals and gemstones for early holiday gift shopping.
· Bruce & Debbie Barlow have been supplying superior quality lapidary work to the industry for more than 30 years.
