Dr. Ana Ortiz’s warm smile, reputation and love for orthodontic care led her to her new partnership at Arthur Orthodontics in Scottsdale. For more than 10 years, Dr. Ortiz has been creating everlasting smiles and building life-long relationships with patients in the Valley.
Wisdom of Teeth
Dr. Ortiz earned her dental degree from UCLA, where she discovered her passion for orthodontic care. “Improving smiles and people’s self-esteem was what got me interested in orthodontics,” said Ortiz. “I also enjoyed the hands-on work with placing brackets and engaging one-on-one with my patients during treatment.”
Upon graduation, she settled down in Chandler and began practicing orthodontics in a space in her father’s dentistry office. The Ortiz family dental practice has a history that goes back more than 30 years, and she and all of her sisters have worked there.. “My older sister works in the front office and my baby sister does chair-side assistance for my dad.”
First Impressions
Although Dr. Chad Arthur is more known to handle impressions of patients with plaster molds of teeth, his first “impression” of Dr. Ana Ortiz sparked an idea.
“I was in the market for partner in the business, and Dr. Ortiz seemed to fit the mold,” said Arthur.
Arthur knew of Dr. Ortiz’s outstanding reputation in the orthodontic community. Through a representative in the industry, they were able to connect and decided to partner.
Sweet Tooth
When Dr. Ortiz isn’t working, her sweet spot is at home with her husband and three boys. “I grew up with sisters, so a house full of boys is a whole new experience,” said Ortiz.
The family loves to spend time together outdoors or up at their cabin in the White Mountains. “Last time we were up there, we built a fort,” she added. They also run, hike and ski when fort building gets boring.
Bracing for Change
Dr. Ortiz is looking forward to the new change at Arthur Orthodontics. She loves that the team feels like family, everyone works together in a positive environment,
helping each other and working to succeed. They are consummate professionals who still manage to have a lot of fun. You can even find them dressing up for special occasions.
