Honoring Grandparents Today and Always

Grandparents near and far should be celebrated always but more so on September 12, 2021. Make this a time for the kids to show their grandparents how much they love them. Tokens of appreciation don’t need to be expensive, there are many sweet ideas your kids to show their love to grandma and grandpa.

Here are some tips for making Grandparents Day Special!

1. Have the grandchildren make a special card to tell them how much they are loved.

2. Unable to see your grandparents due to COVID19, set up a Zoom or FaceTime call. Call them and share pictures and past conversations enjoying family memories.

3.  Visit your grandparents and bring them a special treat. If grandparents day doesn’t work, still mark the occasion by planning a special day.

4. Plan a lunch or dinner with your grandparents and reminisce over the family photo albums or old videos.

5. Read a good book together! Whether its a childhood book or a new one, make more memories together.

6. Take a walk with the family and record the memories with pictures and videos that can be revisited over time.

7. Create a craft project, such as a scrapbook or decorate a picture frame and add a family photo for keepsake memory.

8. Play a Family board game, card games like go fish, old maid or your family’s favorites.
