(Glendale, AZ) – Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will bring the world’s premier off-road motorcycle championship series back to Phoenix on Saturday, January 28, 2017 for the fourth race of the 2017 season. This 17-race battle to crown a champion features the ultimate battle of man and machine, highlighted by a star-studded international field of competitors chasing the sport’s most sought after trophy. For one night only, Phoenix motorsports fans will have the chance to watch reigning back-to-back champion Ryan Dungey in his quest to claim a third straight title, fighting to fend off his fiercest rivals inside the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
For more than 40 years Monster Energy Supercross has thrilled audiences of all ages, continually positioned as one of the world’s fastest growing sports. Nearly one million fans fill the seats of North America’s most well known stadiums annually, while millions more from across the globe watch the action unfold via international live streams and an exclusive broadcast partnership with FOX Sports. Spectators are captivated by the spectacle of Monster Energy Supercross, which serves as the preeminent showcase of these uniquely talented and fearless world-class athletes doing battle in the most physically and mentally demanding sport on the planet. Monster Energy Supercross is part aerial excitement and part high-speed chase, with riders launching 225-pound motorcycles upwards of 30 feet in the air at heart-pounding speeds.
