◦The Phoenix Mercury will pay tribute to the Valley’s bravest men and women during pre-game ceremony and on-court activities throughout the evening.

 

•Fan Appreciation Night: Thursday, September 15; Mercury vs. Seattle Storm - tip off at 7 p.m.
◦In an effort to thank the “Best Fans in the WNBA,” fans will be recognized for their continuous support through giveaways, in-game messaging and activities.
◦The first 2,500 fans will receive an Ann Meyers Drysdale bobblehead courtesy of Waddell & Reed

From the moment you walk- in to Talking Stick Resort Arena on a Mercury game day, you are welcomed by fun for the entire family.

Pre-game:
•Sign Making Station: Inside the Casino Arizona Pavilion (main entrance) young fans can visit our sign making station, and make signs, free of charge, to cheer on their favorite Mercury players.
•Mercury Hip Hop Squad: Just before doors open, allowing fans into the game, the Mercury’s hip hop squad makes a grand entrance into the Casino Arizona Pavilion. The hip hop squad dances and gets the fans excited as they enter into the arena. Members of the Hip Hop Squad will remain in the Pavilion, greeting fans as they arrive, and posing for photos. They also have a limited number post-game autograph passes that they pass out to young fans, providing them to meet and receive autographs from two Mercury players following the game.

Kid-friendly areas:
•COURTyard powered by Verizon: From the time the doors open to the final play of the game, fans are welcome to go into The COURTyard, powered by Verizon, located just north of the court. Young fans can play corn hole, foosball, play ping pong take picture with Mercury player cutouts, create a fan tunnel for players to run through as the enter and exit the court, and so much more. The COURTyard is a free of charge, and with its location next to the court, it is also a great way for children to safely move around and play, while parents can continue to watch the game.

In-game activation:
•Train: At most game, the Phoenix Mercury allows fans of all ages, to participate in “The Train”. During a particular time out, the Mercury announcer and Hip Hop Squad will invite fans to come down onto the court and do the train. It’s an opportunity for young fans to get on their feet and dance around, as well as step foot on the court of the three-time WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury.
•In-game contests: Whether it is a dance contest, smile cam or emoji cam, throughout the game, our game entertainment team will create fun contests and activities for children to participate in and see themselves on the arena’s jumbotron!
•Scorch: During every game, the Phoenix Mercury’s mascot, Scorch, entertains fans and interacts with young fans by taking pictures and encouraging them to dance and cheer on the team.

Post-game activation:
•Post-game free-throws: After every Mercury home game, children ages 16 and under are invited to come down to the Mercury court and shoot free-throws.
•Post-game autographs: A limited number of fans at each game will receive post-game autograph passes allowing them access to the post-game autograph session where two players from the Mercury team will come out and sign autographs.

Other (non-game day):
•Autograph sessions: Throughout the season the Phoenix Mercury host autograph sessions at various kid-friendly locations (Carl’s Jr., Fry’s Food Stores, as well as the arena itself) where young fans can have an opportunity to meet their favorite players.
•Basketball clinics: Throughout the season, the team also host basketball clinics with various non-profit organizations that serve Arizona’s youth.
